High School Senior Year 2022-2023
- Graduate from a high school or adult school
- Be a first-time college student
- You have not taken a college class after graduating from a high school or adult school
- Concurrent or Dual enrollment applicants will be considered as first-time college students
- You have not taken a college class after graduating from a high school or adult school

Deadlines

1. Submit an application for admissions to Hartnell College through CCCApply
2. Submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or California Dream Act Application
a. Indicate Hartnell College (School Code: 001209) on your application. Up to 10 schools
can be added.
3. Submit the Salinas Valley Promise - Program Application
a. A Hartnell student ID and account is required to sign-in and submit the form (see
Step 1).

4. Enroll as a full-time student at Hartnell College (12 or more units/15 preferred)
a. Waitlisted courses do not count towards the 12 units
b. It is highly recommended you participate in Panther Prep Pledge
Students enrolled in fewer than 12 units may be eligible for SVP when eligible for
a reduced course load as a Department of Supportive Programs and Services (DSPS) accommodation
5. Sign-up for the Student Success Seminar (choose one or more)
*Dual Enrollment students are exempt from requirement*
a) Counseling courses: COU-1, COU-21, or COU-23 * Approved support programs: TRiO, Vocational Nursing (VN), Teacher Pathway Program (TPP) / MAESTROs, Computer Science in 3 Years (CSin3), Math Academy, CCAP Dual Enrollment |

6. Students notified of admission into Salinas Valley Promise

7. Attend a Student Success Seminar (one or more)

Freshman Year Requirements (Fall & Spring)
- Be a first-time college student
- Maintain enrollment as a full-time college student (at least 12 units)* during Fall and Spring semesters
- Completion of annual financial aid application or CADAA
- Participation in mentorship and quarterly workshops
- Maintain at least a 2.0 semester GPA

Deadlines

All official transcripts must be submitted to the Admissions and Records Office prior
to submitting a Graduation Petition. Examples include: Official High School Transcripts,
Official Transcripts from other institutions, and Advanced Placement Scores.

Submit a Petition for Associate Degree and/or Certificate of Achievement to the Admissions and Records Office by the deadlines listed, CLICK HERE.
Official Transcripts may be submitted with Graduation Petitions if required.
