Available Scholarships from Outside Sources

The following details are provided to promote awareness of numerous opportunities made available through different scholarship databases. There are still alternatives that may not appear on this list.

Be advised that there are cases of scholarship scams. In general, avoid scholarships with an application fee, scholarship matching services who guarantee success, advance-fee loan scams and sales pitches disguised as financial aid “seminars”.  We recommend comparing scholarships through the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for information on financial aid and scholarships scams.

 

Fastweb is a free scholarship search platform that connects students to college scholarships, trade school scholarships, and other college planning tools. 

StudentScholarships.org has been providing scholarship information to students and scholarship management services to companies since 2003.

The Sallie Mae Fund launched scholarship programs to further promote diversity in higher education for under-resourced and underrepresented students and those from historically underserved communities. 

HSF empowers students and parents with the knowledge and resources to successfully complete a higher education, while providing support services and scholarships to as many exceptional students, HSF Scholars and Alumni as possible.

The MALDEF Scholarship Resource Guide is a free, informative resource guide for students, parents, and educators with an extensive list of scholarships, including many that do not inquire about immigration status.

Nurse.org provides available a nursing scholarships tool to search through hundreds of nursing scholarships - filterable by application deadline, award size, gender and more - to find every single award you may qualify for.
